In 1990, Beverly answered God's call on her life to discipleship. She begin creating, promoting and producing Christian entertainment to glorify God. Some of her first bookings included Ben Tankard, Doc McKenzie, Voncile Belcher (Ga. Mass Choir) and others. In 1997, she founded Shades of Color Inc. with a friend, India and her son, Brian (God gave her the name in a dream) to create a global vision of diverse productions to uplift and encourage the religious community. She created "Holy Humor! Comedy Shows" to offer elegant dining and comedy to Christians regionally. The shows were such a hit, they lasted from 1996 to 2001. Being a dreamer resulted in Beverly enrolling and completing her degree in Communications, with a concentration in Video & Film Production in 2000, from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia. She was ready to fulfill the destiny God had prepared for her. In 2003, she was divinely inspired to create America R.A.V.E.S. for anointed artists, who are interested in national and international music ministry. Beverly is focused on kingdom building, understanding that God has a wonderful plan for our lives. He has promised us provision, protection, prosperity and promotion, if we trust Him. He is causing Beverly's visions to come to life because she knows that unless God builds the house, the laborer labors in vain. She is a member of The Christian Jubilee Full Word Baptist Church under the pastorship of Rev. Portia Minter where she serves on The Praise Team, Annual Health & Job Fair and is an Instructor for the New Walk Class. She is an organizing member of Knock Out Drugs, featured in 2001 National Deans List publication, theatre and play producer, script writer and strongly involved in community youth programs. Beverly is the mother of Minister Brian C. Rhodes, Sr. and Ms Nicole Rhodes Allen and the grandmother of seven: Jabria, Lania, Brandy, Brian Jr., Benjamin, Brian Norris and Brandon. She is truly a living testimony of God's goodness and His mercy. Overcoming sicknesses that tried to destroy her and challenges that brought great loss and pain, Beverly is an over-comer and continues to be a trendsetter, visionary and pioneer in the wide open Christian entertainment field. |
